Contract
By making a booking you have entered into contract between you (the guest) and us (Studford Luxury Lodges). This contract becomes legally binding once we have sent out a confirmation form and is subject to all our booking conditions. You could check all information on your booking confirmation carefully and notify us of any discrepancy or mistake. You must be 18 years or over when the lodge is booked. Please advise other adults within your party of these booking conditions.
Payment
A deposit of 25% of the total rental fee is payable immediately upon the making a booking if the booking is made more than 6 weeks before the arrival date. Non-payment of the balance by the due date may be be construed as a cancellation. For bookings made less than 6 weeks before the arrival date, the total fee is payable. Payment can be made by card online or over the phone or by cheque, expect for bookings made less than 6 weeks before the arrival date which must be paid in full by card. Our confirmation booking letter will show the holiday price and balance due date at the time of booking.
Cancellation
Should you need to cancel your booking it is best to do so in writing (ideally by email). We offer free cancellation up until 3 months prior to your expected arrival date. Cancellation within 3 months will result in us retaining your deposit. Cancellation within 6 weeks of arrival will incur the full charge for the booking, unless the lodge is re-booked in which case 75% of the full rate will be refunded.
Please note, stays over Christmas and New Year are non refundable
Damages
In the event of any damages guests are required to reimburse Studford Luxury Lodges for replacement, repair, or extra cleaning costs incurred. These charges will be itemised and invoiced for directly after your stay. Single sex groups will be asked to pay a £500 refundable security deposit on arrival.
Liability
The following provisions set out our liability to you in respect of any breach of the booking conditions and/or any representation, including negligence arising under or in connection with the booking contract -
- All warranties, conditions and other terms implied by statute or common law are, to the fullest extent permitted by law, excluded from the contract.
- Nothing in the contract excludes or limits the liability of Studford Luxury Lodges for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to the above clauses, our total liability (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), misrepresentation or otherwise, arising in connection with the performance of the contract shall be limited to a sum equal to three times the rental fee; and (2) Studford Luxury Lodges shall not be liable to the guest for any type of indirect or consequential loss or damage, costs, expenses or other claims for consequential compensation whatsoever (howsoever caused) which arise out of or in connection with the contract. If the booked lodge becomes unavailable or un-useable for some reason prior your arrival, then we will reimburse you for any monies paid. That said, we will not be deemed to be in breach of this contract in circumstances deemed to be beyond our reasonable control - such as fire, flood, exceptional weather conditions, epidemics, destruction and damage of the property by any cause other than our own negligence. No compensation, costs, expenses or other sums of any description (including without limitation the cost of securing alternative accommodation) will be payable in such circumstances by Studford Luxury Lodges to the guest.
Warranties
Studford Luxury Lodges does not warrant and is not responsible for the accuracy of any verbal information given or statements made by its employees, agents or the owner.
Right of entry
We reserve the right of entry to your lodge at all reasonable times for the purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.
Data protection
On booking we will collect personal data such as your name and address and credit/debit card details. We may need to pass these details on to other third parties so that your holiday rental can be processed, for example, the credit/debit card company or bank. We also need to record your details for our own administration, market analysis and operational reviews. We would also like to store and use your personal details for future marketing purposes (for example, sending brochures, or emailing details of promotions or offers that we feel may be of interest). All details given to us at any time will be kept, but only names, contact details and the booking preferences will be used for marketing purposes unless you have informed us otherwise when the information is provided. We will respect the privacy of your personal data and will comply with current data protection legislation. Without your written consent, we will not make your personal data available to third parties for their marketing purposes and, unless required to do so by law, will not disclose your personal data to anyone.
